A short distance offshore, remnants of the artificial port can still be seen.

Here, 9,386 marble crosses and Stars of David are aligned on a plateau above the beach. A memorial contains the Tablets of the Missing, and a map outlines the battle sites of the Normandy beaches.
After this moving tribute to these heroes, reach Omaha Beach and feel the sacrifice. American forces wenth through to free Normandy, France and Europe.
Finally, your guide will bring you to the famous Pointe du Hoc: captured on the morning of the 6th of June 1944 by Colonel Rudder's Rangers, the site was also one of key features of the German defensive fortifications.
