Explore the heart of Costa Maya in a unique new way during this fun-filled, half-day Segway and beach excursion.

Segway Tour

Depart the pier for the short walk to the Segway practice area. Upon arrival, receive your Segway orientation and safety instructions, then grab your safety equipment and make some practice runs before beginning your guided Segway tour. Ride along the beachfront fishing village of Mahahual, located on the beautiful Mexican Caribbean.

Refreshments and Shopping

Along the way, take in splendid views of the heart of Costa Maya whilst discovering the local flavour of this charming town. A refreshment stop is made en route to admire the exquisite blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. Afterward, continue riding towards the main commercial centre, where a brief stop is made for shopping.

Beach Break

Before heading back to your ship, some free time is made available to relax at one of the nicest beach clubs in the area. You can sip a cool beverage, swim in the crystal-clear waters, or just sit back and unwind on the beach. Taxi coupons will be provided to return to the ship on your own.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of activity and a moderate amount of walking for approximately 383 feet (about 350 metres), at times on uneven and sandy surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and Segway, and at the sites visited. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with heart conditions, guests with asthma, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover-up with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, a towel, change of clothing and cash for additional purchases from the ship. Guests must weigh between 100 pounds (45 kilograms) and 250 pounds (113 kilograms) to participate on this tour. The minimum age to participate on this tour is 12 years old, and the maximum age is 65 years. Guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Safety equipment is provided, and mandatory during the Segway portion of the tour. Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
