Excursion Roqueta island hike & flamingo hotel tour at Acapulco

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Board your glass-bottom tour boat, to the undeniably beautiful Roqueta Island. During your trip to the Island, an informative narrative will give you a glimpse into the interesting history and culture of Acapulco throughout the ages, while your glass-bottomed boat offers up a display of colorful tropical fish and spiny sea urchins.

Upon arrival, you will receive a briefing from your guide before commencing on an escorted hike through the Reserve's magnificent flora and fauna. Return to the glass-bottom boat and cruise back to the pier.

Your next stop is a visit to Los Flamingos Hotel, where you will sip a refreshing beverage and taste our typical Pozole, perhaps the most traditional meal in town and the hotel's specialty. Stroll the grounds of this legendary haunt of old Hollywood, once owned by Tarzan's Johnny Weissmuller.

Note

Please note: This tour consists of approximately 1 hour of walking over both sandy and uneven dirt ground, and there are a significant number of steps to negotiate (over 40 at the Flamingo Hotel). Some surfaces are moss covered and may become slippery when wet. The tour is not advised to those with mobility concerns, heart problems, asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, or pregnant women. Guests are advised to bring small change for possible toilet fees and souvenirs.
