Take an unforgettable horseback riding tour off of Drake Bay, where the jungle and the sea come together in spectacular beauty and biodiversity. This excursion is made for horse lovers and people who love outdoor activities. After a short transfer to San Josecito beach, meet your guide and your horse and set off on a ride that begins on a scenic path along the beach.


Along the way, look to the trees, where it is common to see the beautiful Scarlet Macaw, then ride along the beach enjoying the sea breeze. About 45 minutes into the ride take a path into the jungle, going up the hill as you take in the sounds of the forest. The ride culminates at the top of the path, where Cano Island can be fully appreciated from a panoramic vantage point.


Ride back down the mountain through the tropical rainforest, where it is possible to see monkeys, coatis, iguanas, birds such as frigates and toucans. Cross a small creek where the horses are refreshed to start the return trip.


Returning to the starting point, where a delicious buffet of fresh tropical fruits, water and delicious iced tea waits for you. Take 30 minutes of beach time to play in the waves, relaxing in the pristine waters or enjoy the shades of the coconut palms. Return to the ship.

Please note: This tour is not suitable for guests that are not physically fit for horseback riding. There is 400 yards of walking in total in addition to nearly three hours of horseback riding, making this tour unsuitable for those with limited mobility. Long pants, closed-toe tennis shoes or boots, hat, sun protection, insect repellent and binoculars are recommended. Guests are recommended to wear a bathing suit under clothing and to bring bottled water. Guests may not participate if they weigh more than 235 lbs and galloping is not allowed on this tour.
