Excursion Camarones penguins tour at Camarones

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Spend half a day at traveling to the Cabo Dos Bahias Penguin Rookery via the charming little port of Camarones. After arriving to the port in your zodiacs, board the bus that takes you to the Penguin Rookery (30-minute drive).

The rookery is home to over 250.000 penguins that come every year from September to April, during their reproduction period. Here the birds lay their eggs and rear their young, staying until April when they return to the north and warmer climes. Take a 1.5-hour walk on the high metal walks build specially not to disturb the beloved penguins. Then return to your bus and head back to Camarones for a bit of time to explore this typical Patagonian Town.

After a small tour around the city, re-board your zodiac to go back to the ship.
