Enjoy a relaxed afternoon meandering the streets of Bahia Solano, Columbia. Walk or be driven from the pier into town and receive a guided tour through a town that is the economic and tourism center of the region.
Guides will take participants through the Bahia Solano community, wandering the streets with their array of different shops and businesses, visiting the local secondary school, the main church, and the primary school.
One highlight of the trip is a visit to the small but active fishing port, with its display of locally caught fish, which are flown out daily to the main cities of Colombia. Watch a presentation by local fishermen to learn more about their daily work and the traditions they still observe.
The tour concludes on the "malecon," or seafront, where an artisan's market is located with handicrafts available for sale. Guests can shop and watch a vibrant performance of Afro-Pacific Colombian dance before returning to the ship.
