Excursion S.a.l.t. aabrekk farm life tour at Olden

Enjoy the approximately one-hour spectacular scenic drive from Olden, through the river valley of Oldedalen, passing Oldevatnet to arrive at Aabrekk Farm.

Aabrekk Farm

At the Farm you will meet Signe and her son Sindre, who will walk you around the property and show you how everyday life is like: from picking the potatoes out of the ground to milking the goats.

Farm Lunch

Following your farm visit, you will be taken to your table, where you will be served a taste of the produces from both Aalbrekk farm and its surrounding farms, depending on what has been harvested that season and year. While eating Signe will talk about the food, how it is prepared, stored and cooked for you, following ancient traditions. You will get to know the different ways food has been preserved and passed on from generation to generation.

After a very fascinating visit, reboard you coach driving down the valley and back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking at times over uneven surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. This tour is not recommended for guests who utilise a wheelchair. Weather appropriate clothing, preferably in layers and weather proof (rain jacket and trouser in case of rain) with flat, closed-toe walking shoes are recommended. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcoholic beverages.
