Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 1.5-hour drive to the mighty Petrohué River, one of Chile’s most beautiful and exciting glacial rivers. Upon arrival at the venue, meet your guides, and receive your safety instructions and equipment, including rafts, paddles, helmets, life jackets, water boots, wetsuits, and wet jackets, Afterward, don your gear, then proceed to the starting-point and your awaiting river-raft with your guide.

Next, embark your river-raft and set off on a guided, Class III-IV rafting adventure down the clear, azure waters of the Petrohué River. Along the way, marvel at the spectacular surrounding scenery of ancient, old-growth forests and waterfalls, and breath-taking vistas of the surrounding mountains and volcanoes. Your river-guide expertly manoeuvres through thunderous rapids, so hold on and enjoy this thrilling white-water experience. A picnic lunch is provided, and served at the lodge or the riverbank. At the conclusion of your tour, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 1.5-hour drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of physical activity. The ride may be rough at times, and guests will experience bumpy motions. This tour is recommended for active guests who are in good physical condition and can swim in water too deep to stand. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with neck and/or back problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests prone to motion sickness, guests with balance issues, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear warm, comfortable, layered clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, insect repellent, a warm, weatherproof jacket, hat, gloves, swimsuit, towel, bottled water, and US Dollars or credit cards for purchases. Guests must be at least 12 years old to participate on this tour; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old. Maximum age for this tour is 80 years old. Rafts, paddles, helmets, life jackets, water boots and wetsuits are provided; there is no shade on the rafts. Each raft holds 6 guests. Guests who have consumed alcoholic beverages cannot participate on this tour. A safety vest must be worn at all times whilst rafting. Photography/videography is prohibited whilst rafting, but photos are available for purchase. A signed waiver is required to participate on this tour. The rafting portion of the tour is approximately one hour in duration; guests must paddle at all times. The duration of rafting is approximate, as it is water-level-dependent. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. The raft operator may deny participation if a guest appears unfit or unable to sustain such strenuous activity. Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
