Start from the Venetians favorite Square: after some remarks on the history of Venice, you will admire the Marciana Library and the Loggetta by J. Sansovino, the belltower, the clocktower and its two bronze Moors, the two wings called Procuratie Vecchie and Procuratie Nuove, besides the Cathedral in the daylight.

Next to the Cathedral is the Doges' Palace, the former official residence of the Rulers of Venice (Dogi), one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture, well known for its ornate façade and multi-arcaded loggia.

Time at leisure to explore the downtown before meeting with your assistant at a designated meeting point in St. Mark's Area and walk back to your motorboat destination Venice Marittima Pier.
