Depart the pier for the short drive to Opunohu Bay. One of the most beautiful and pristine bays in French Polynesia, Opunohu is solely designated for agricultural use. Upon arrival, head for a visit to Te Fare Natura, our brand-new eco-museum. Led by your local guides, delve into the history of the island, its ecosystem, and flora and fauna. The museum offers different aquariums displaying the diverse eco-systems found here, a full description of the history of the corals, 3D movie of the beauty of Moorea, and an interesting garden of endemic plants, most of which are utilised for medicinal purposes by locals.

Opunohu Valley, Photo Stop, Blue-Eyed River Eels

Following your eco-museum visit, re-board your coach for a drive through the Opunohu Valley. A photo stop is made here for an opportunity to view the sacred, blue-eyed river eels whilst your guide recounts the legend of the coconut tree linked to them. Afterward, re-board your coach and proceed to your final stop, the eco-cultural shoppe of Fare Tutava.

Fare Tutava, Homemade Specialities, Production Process, Free Time, Shopping

At Fare Tutava, everything from medicinal creams and oils to noni juices, honey, and local vanilla is homemade. During a guided tour of the facility, view a demonstration of the production process utilised to prepare most of the products sold here, and sample fresh juices, smoothies, and coconut water. Following your tour and tastings, some free time is made available to browse the freshly-prepared local specialities for sale, including all kinds of jams, tropical juices and smoothies, fresh coconut water, and more. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.
