Discover the heart of Argentina’s world-renowned wine country on this refined three-day overland journey to Mendoza, home to nearly two-thirds of the nation’s wine production and some of South America’s most prestigious wineries.

DAY 1 – MONTEVIDEO → BUENOS AIRES → MENDOZA

Disembark the ship in Montevideo and transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires, connecting onward to Mendoza, Argentina’s premier wine region. Lunch is at leisure during today’s travel.

Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic drive through Mendoza’s countryside to the Valle de Uco, an acclaimed wine-growing area set at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. On arrival at your lodge, check in and take time to relax and enjoy the tranquil vineyard surroundings.

This evening, gather for a welcome dinner at the hotel, featuring regional flavors and local wines.

DAY 2 – MENDOZA

Wine, Cuisine & Local Traditions

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Andeluna Winery or a similar estate, located in the heart of the Valle de Uco. Here, participate in a hands-on cooking class, learning how to prepare traditional Argentine dishes such as empanadas while gaining insight into local culinary customs.

Following the cooking experience, enjoy a guided winery visit and wine tasting, discovering the unique characteristics of Mendoza’s high-altitude wines. Lunch is included at the winery, paired with selected regional wines.

Later in the afternoon, return to the hotel for an additional guided wine tasting at Domaine Bousquet, a pioneering organic winery internationally recognized for its award-winning wines. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure, allowing time to relax and enjoy the vineyard setting.

Dinner is served at the hotel this evening.

DAY 3 – MENDOZA → BUENOS AIRES

City Highlights & Re-Embarkation

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, or a breakfast-to-go depending on your flight schedule, before transferring to the airport for your return flight to Buenos Aires.

Upon arrival, enjoy a city sightseeing tour, time permitting, introducing some of the Argentine capital’s most iconic landmarks. Highlights may include Recoleta, Plaza de Mayo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and vibrant La Boca, famous for its colorful streets and tango heritage.

Lunch is at leisure during the city tour. Afterwards, transfer to the pier to rejoin your ship in Buenos Aires, concluding your overland journey through Argentina’s celebrated wine country.

Activity Level of the Tour

This overland program involves moderate to extensive activity, including prolonged periods of walking and standing at wineries and sightseeing locations. Guests must be in good physical condition to fully enjoy the experience.

Tour Accessibility

This tour is not wheelchair accessible. Vineyard estates and countryside venues feature uneven terrain, gravel paths, and occasional steps. Guests with limited mobility must be accompanied by an able-bodied companion capable of providing assistance. Electric scooters and wheelchairs are not recommended.

Driving Time / Flying Time

The program includes multiple flights between Montevideo, Buenos Aires, and Mendoza, as well as overland transfers to and from wineries and the Valle de Uco region. Guests connecting through Buenos Aires must collect and re-check luggage for domestic flights. Flight schedules are subject to change.

Clothing Requirements

Comfortable walking shoes with non-slip soles are essential. Guests should dress in light, layered clothing and bring sun protection such as hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Insect repellent is recommended for vineyard areas.

Additional Important Information

Mendoza is located at approximately 750 meters (2,460 feet) above sea level. Guests with cardiac, respiratory, or altitude-sensitive conditions should consult a physician prior to participation.

Domestic flight luggage restrictions apply, typically one checked bag (up to 15 kg / 33 lbs) and one carry-on bag (up to 8 kg / 17 lbs). Excess baggage fees may apply and are payable locally.

Restroom facilities may be limited at certain wineries and during transfers.

This tour includes wine tastings and is recommended for guests of legal drinking age.
