DAY ONE – Sunday, March 29, 2026 – Port Elizabeth/ Phinda Private Game Reserve

Enjoy breakfast onboard before meeting your local representative for your transfer to Port Elizabeth Airport. After checking in, board your charter aircraft for a scenic flight from Port Elizabeth to the pristine Phinda Airstrip (approx. 150 minutes with refuel stop). Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by your lodge representative at Phinda Airstrip, followed by a brief transfer in open 4x4 safari vehicles to the serene Phinda Forest Lodge, where a refreshing welcome drink awaits to kick off your adventure.

Once you have completed check-in, settle into your luxurious room and take a moment to relax in the tranquil surroundings. Later, savor a delicious lunch before enjoying some leisure time—whether you choose to unwind at the lodge or explore the peaceful landscape. In the late afternoon, gather for tea and light refreshments, then embark on your first game drive.

Climb aboard an open 4x4 safari vehicle and journey into the wilderness in search of Africa’s legendary Big Five. As evening falls, spotlighting will assist in revealing the nocturnal wildlife of the bush. Take a moment to enjoy sundowner drinks and snacks in the heart of the wilderness, soaking in the enchantment of the moment. Return to the lodge to freshen up and end your day with a delightful dinner in the elegant dining area, immersing yourself in the authentic African safari experience.

DAY TWO – Monday, March 30, 2026 – Phinda Private Game Reserve

Start your day with an early wake-up call, followed by tea, coffee, and biscuits in the main lodge. Set off on a morning game drive, experiencing the enchantment of the bush as it comes to life with the sunrise.

Return to the lodge for a substantial breakfast, then spend the rest of the day at your leisure—whether you prefer to unwind at the lodge or explore the surrounding area at your own pace. Lunch will be provided at the lodge.

In the afternoon, reconvene for tea before heading out on your second game drive. As the sun sets, watch for elusive nocturnal wildlife with the aid of spotlights. Savor sundowners and snacks in the bush before making your way back to the lodge.

This evening, enjoy dinner under the stars in a picturesque bush setting. A special guest speaker, a local conservation expert, will join you to share intriguing insights and stories, providing a deeper understanding of the region’s wildlife and conservation initiatives.

DAY THREE – Tuesday, March 31, 2026 – Phinda Private Game Reserve/ Richards Bay

Rise early for your last morning in the bush. Savor tea and coffee before embarking on one final early morning game drive, capturing the last moments of your safari experience.

Return to the lodge for a farewell breakfast, then finalize check-out procedures. Say goodbye to Phinda Forest Lodge and board your coach transfer to Richards Bay Harbour (approx. 90 minutes). During the journey, enjoy the packed lunch pack provided for the trip.

Arrive at the harbor in the early afternoon (after lunch) to reboard your vessel, taking with your unforgettable memories of your time in the African wilderness.

Please note: This Mid-Voyage Land Adventure is recommended to guests who are physically fit.  It is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or those who utilize a wheelchair. The game drive vehicles traversing over uneven terrain, and the ride can be bumpy, making it unsuitable for guests with back problems. This Land Adventure involves touring outdoors and guests may be exposed to warm, humid and/or wet weather and insects; please pack accordingly. We recommend wearing lightweight clothing; bring a windbreaker and warm clothing for the evening and early morning game drives. Since the safari vehicles are open, a sunhat, sun block, insect repellent and sunglasses are recommended. Remember also to bring your camera and binoculars. The contents and activities of this program are subject to change, depending on weather conditions and the movement of wildlife on the reserve. Malaria is present in certain regions of South Africa, and we recommend consulting your physician for appropriate prophylaxis and preventive measures before travel. Airlines restrict baggage to 15kg (33lbs) per person; hand luggage cannot exceed 5kg (11lbs) in weight. Animal sightings are frequent but cannot be guaranteed.
