Depart the ship via tender-boat for the short ride to the jetty. Upon arrival, embark a dhoni (local boat) for the short ride to the submarine. Upon arrival, receive your safety and submarine briefing, then board the submarine. Embark on a journey into the underwater world of Maldives, approximately 100 feet (about 30.5 metres) beneath the surface of the ocean and in air-conditioned comfort. This underwater tour into the mysterious depths of the Indian Ocean, aboard the submarine, is a uniquely unforgettable experience.

As the pilot begins the descent, you can see the depths of the ocean and a school of surgeon fish greeting the submarine through large, acrylic viewing-ports in front of each seat. Upon reaching a depth of approximately 100 feet (about 30.5 metres), see a reef with diverse species of coral and marine life. Depending upon the time of the day, you may also see manta rays and reef sharks swirling around this reef. The submarine is equipped with a fish-feeding system to attract these creatures closer to your viewing ports. Whilst cruising underwater, the submarine moves slowly to avoid damaging the reef or scaring away the marine life. After the submarine resurfaces, embark your local boat and return to the jetty, then commence the short ride back to the ship via ship’s tender.

Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking for approximately 0.6 miles (about one kilometre), with a few steps to negotiate to embark/disembark the ship's tender, and nine steep steps to board/de-board the submarine. This tour is recommended for guests who are in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests with limited mobility but it is wheelchair-accessible. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate on this tour. Operation of the submarine and this tour is subject to weather, water current and tidal conditions, and may be cancelled at the last minute and without prior warning. In consideration of the guests' safety, cancellation of this excursion may also be announced once the guests reach the submarine. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
