Enjoy a wildlife adventure day in the Kariega Private Game Reserve. The reserve is home to over 25 game and 250 bird species that live in its more than 12,000 acres of wilderness.

Be amazed by the abundance of general game and bird life supplementing the "Big 5" - lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard. Look for hippo, giraffe, zebra, eland, wildebeest, numerous other antelope species. View resident eagle species including the martial, crowned and fish eagles. Let the awe-inspiring African landscape captivate your senses as you drive through the many habitats that highlight Kariega Private Game Reserve's five ecosystems.

Learn about the Kariega Foundation, a non-profit trust, was born out of the desire to contribute to the upliftment of local communities, sustainable wildlife management and conservation. The Foundation works in collaboration with Kariega Game Reserve in these key areas and in the Rhino conservation project.

Please note: This tour is not recommended to guests with limited mobility. Flat, comfortable walking shoes, hats, sun block and sunglasses are recommended. Bring binoculars and cameras. This tour involves a coach transfer to/from the reserve of approximately 1.5/2.0 hours one way. The game drive at the reserve is executed by 4x4 open vehicle. Guests must be at least six years old to participate on this tour; minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent. Although frequently encountered on this type of tour, wildlife, marine life, and bird sightings are not guaranteed. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions.
