Scenic Transfer to Ravenna and Guided Walking Tour

Depart the pier in Porto Corsini for the short, approximately 30-minute drive to Ravenna’s historic city centre. Upon arrival, begin a guided walking tour through the charming streets of this elegant town, renowned for its rich history and artistic heritage. As you stroll along cobblestone lanes and picturesque squares, your guide will introduce you to the local culture and traditions that define this unique region of Italy.

Mercato Coperto and Piadina-Making Experience

Your walk leads to the Mercato Coperto, a vibrant hub of local life and gastronomy. Here, take part in a hands-on cooking class dedicated to the preparation of Piadina Romagnola IGP, the iconic flatbread of the region. Under the guidance of expert local “azdore” (traditional home cooks), learn how to prepare the dough from scratch, roll it to the perfect thickness, and cook it on a traditional griddle.

At the end of the workshop, enjoy the fruits of your labour as you savour your freshly made piadina, traditionally filled with creamy squacquerone cheese, fresh arugula, and Parma ham. Your tasting is complemented by a glass of local wine or a soft drink.

Following your culinary experience, enjoy a short walk back to the coach parking area before re-boarding your motorcoach for the return transfer to Porto Corsini.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 1.5–2 miles (about 2–3 kilometres), at times over uneven and cobblestone surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and at the venue. Guests should expect extended periods of standing during the cooking class. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair.
