Excursion Everglades adventure tour at Fort Lauderdale

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Enjoy a half-day (3.5 hours) exploration of the Everglades. Visit the region that the native Seminole Indians gave the name 'Sea of Grass' because of the densely growing sawgrass. Experience the only place in the world where alligators and crocodiles live side by side.

Embark from the pier for a 35-minute drive out to the Everglades. Upon arrival, climb aboard your private airboat for the 60-minute journey through this unique eco-system. Feel the power of your flat bottom airboat, with a large driving propeller at the stern, as you skim the surface of the shallow waters and traverse this fascinating area.

Once in the Everglades, see a vast array of wildlife including alligators, exotic birds and native fish while your boat glides over the seemingly endless river of grass. Witness the rich avian life of large wading birds like the Roseate Spoonbill, Wood Stork, Great Blue Heron and a variety of egrets. Listen as your experienced guide introduces you to the unique eco-system of the park.

Following your airboat ride, take a short walk to explore the park on your own.
