Excursion Deep sea fishing tour at Stavanger

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

A short walk along Stavanger pier leads to your comfortably-equipped fishing vessel for the next several hours. Once aboard and briefed, lines will be cast off as your captain heads out into the idyllic maze of small islands that surround this cobbled city of fjords, fish-packing wharfs, and crisp white wooden buildings framing a classic Norwegian harbour.

Angling history reigns supreme here where daily life has remained closely tied to the sea for centuries. In fact, many Norwegians living along this coast still own a boat and relish trawling the local waters for tasty gifts from the briny deep – cod, haddock, whiting, pollock, and mackerel among them.

Equipped with rod, line, and bait, you can try your luck at several spots known to be abundant in finned denizens – drinking in stunning fjord scenery as you wait for the next strike. Even if your catch is minimal, your enjoyment of this unique environment will be very much maximal. Once back at the pier, the return walk to your Silversea ship is barely five minutes.
