Excursion Debark experience: live the chilean spirit: wine & horses (for disembarking guests only) tour at Valparaiso
Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
Depart directly from the ship in Valparaíso and journey inland to the renowned Casablanca Valley, one of Chile’s premier wine regions. Although vineyards have been cultivated here since the 19th century, the valley’s true potential emerged in recent decades when its climate and soils proved ideally suited to producing wines of remarkable freshness and character. Influenced by cooling Pacific breezes, the region is now celebrated for its distinctive winemaking traditions.
At a local winery, enjoy a guided visit introducing the vineyards, cellars, and winemaking process, followed by a tasting of selected wines that reflect the unique qualities of the Casablanca Valley.
Continue to Puro Caballo, a cultural estate dedicated to preserving the traditions of the Chilean countryside. Discover the celebrated Chilean horse, renowned for its agility and heritage, and gain insight into the customs and skills associated with rural life. While enjoying a glass of wine or a traditional pisco sour, witness an equestrian demonstration showcasing the close partnership between rider and horse.
A traditional Chilean lunch is served in a rustic setting inspired by the country’s rural heritage before continuing through the Chilean countryside to Santiago International Airport for your onward journey.
