Excursion Chasing waterfalls - nature hike tour at Seydisfjordur

This scenic hike explores Vestdalur Valley, renowned for waterfalls, meadows, wetlands, and mountains, with a history of human settlement over a thousand years. Starting near Seyðisfjörður, we visit the abandoned town of Vestdalseyri, inhabited from 1851 to 1963, and pass beautiful waterfalls—great photo opportunities. Wildflowers and nesting birds may also be seen. After the hike, we return to the coach for the trip back to the pier.
Note
Please note: This tour is a strenuous grade 3 hike and is recommended for guests in good physical condition. Participants should be able to hike along inclines for extended periods with a few breaks, over uneven, gravel, and grassy terrain and a few steps to negotiate when getting on and off the coach. Dress warmly and in layers, outer layer waterproof and windproof. Good, sturdy shoes with a non-slip sole are vital, preferably hiking shoes.
