This half day tour offers a relaxed and fully accessible exploration of Cairns’ lush Botanical Gardens and the scenic coastal village of Palm Cove, combining gentle nature walks, coastal views, and comfortable travel designed for guests with limited mobility

Cairns Botanical Gardens, Tropical flora and rainforest gardens

Depart from the pier in Cairns and enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 30 minutes to the Cairns Botanical Gardens, travelling in a comfortable ADA-equipped vehicle. Upon arrival, enjoy unhurried free time to explore the gardens at your own pace. The paved, wheelchair-friendly pathways allow easy access to vibrant tropical plant collections, shaded rainforest areas, and peaceful garden spaces where you can relax, take photos, or simply enjoy the natural surroundings.

Palm Cove beachfront

After your visit, rejoin the vehicle for a coastal drive of about 30 minutes north along the shoreline to Palm Cove, one of Tropical North Queensland’s most charming seaside villages. Here, enjoy free time to stroll along the flat beachfront promenade, browse local shops, or sit back and take in the ocean views beneath the palm trees.

The experience concludes with a return drive of approximately 45 minutes back to the pier in Cairns, completing a calm and enjoyable outing that balances nature, scenery, and comfort.

Please Note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking, approximately 0.3 miles (0.5 km) at the Cairns Botanical Gardens to enjoy the highlights, all on flat, paved, wheelchair-accessible paths; it is fully wheelchair accessible with space for one wheelchair per vehicle, and foldable wheelchairs or small electric scooters are accepted. Full time wheelchair users, are kindly requested to contact shoreconcierge@silversea.com in order to provide further details and determine if the tour is suitable for them. Walking distances at Palm Cove are optional and entirely at guests’ discretion; the tour includes several short scenic drives, the longest being approximately 45 minutes on the return to the pier; no food or beverages are included; photography is permitted; the tour does not operate on Christmas Day.
