A levada is a historic, narrow irrigation channel carved into Madeira's mountainside, often accompanied by footpaths showcasing the island’s lush scenery, terraced hillsides, and natural beauty.

Enjoy a scenic walk along the historic levadas, beginning at Vale Paraiso with a gentle, mostly level stroll to Camacha and Rochão. Afterwards, visit the beautiful Palheiro Estate, established in the 18th  century, renowned for its lush gardens, historic plantations, and diverse flora, culminating in a relaxing tea at the charming Tea House.
