After tendering ashore and a brief walk, depart the pier for a scenic approximately 30-minute drive, where you will pass by the charming villages of Hvar Island. Your destination is the famed Stari Grad Plain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is the largest, most fertile cultivated field of all Mediterranean islands, and little has changed here since the ancient Greeks arrived almost 2,400 years ago.

Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of the Hora Farm, one of few buildings on the Stari Grad plain. During your guided tour of this lovely property, including its abundant gardens, learn how their lavender is harvested and distilled. Here, you will see how local lavender is transformed into fragrant essential oils and more. After the tour, indulge in a traditional farm-to-table brunch at the Hora Farm along with the family that runs the estate. Feast on local dishes which may include fresh eggs, homemade sausages, cold cuts, cheese, freshly baked bread, homemade jams, and local honey as a sweet treat.

Stari Grad Town, Guided Walking Tour, Free Time

After brunch, re-board your coach and proceed to the ancient town of Stari Grad, considered one of the jewels of the local area. This small town is famous for its large bay, which has long inspired artists and poets. After a short, guided tour, relax in Stari Grad Town with some free time for shopping and exploring at your own pace. Finally, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 547 yards (about 500 metres), at times over uneven, gravel and cobblestone surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach.
