Punta del Este
After tendering ashore, depart the pier for the approximate 45-minute sightseeing drive through Punta del Este. Along the way, see the Peninsula, Brava Beach and the open-air collection of sculptures at the Square of the Americas. 'The Hand', a sculpture created in 1981 by Mario Yrarrázabal of Chile, has become a city icon. From here, drive through the residential areas of San Rafael and Golf Park en route to the Beverly Hills District, home of the Ralli Museum of Contemporary Art.
Ralli Museum of Contemporary Art
The Ralli Museum of Contemporary Art is an attractive, modern museum featuring a fine collection of paintings and sculptures by noted Latin American artists, along with works by European master Dalí. Next, drive past the Rincon del Indio neighborhood, Indian Corner and stop for photos at La Barra de Maldonado, known for its hanging bridge.
Casapueblo Private Atelier
Your tour concludes with a visit to Casapueblo, the home and atelier of late internationally-renowned artist, Carlos Paez Vilaró. This dazzling white complex is situated on a rocky bluff overlooking the ocean, and features a maze of rooms that are located on different levels and filled with the artist's work. Narrow steps lead to a maze of rooms distributed on different levels and filled with the artist's art work. Visit to Carlos Paez Vilaró's private atelier, located in the highest dome of Casapueblo, its maximum architectural creation, on the rocky cliffs of Punta Ballena. For the first time, it opens only for special groups, the atelier of the Uruguayan artist. This tour is not available to the general public. On the private terrace facing the sea, named "Terraza de Plácido Domingo" - in honor of the Spanish tenor who was in the place next to Páez Vilaró - you can enjoy a glass of wine or champagne, accompanied by selected cheeses and cold cuts.
Following your visit, re-board your coach for the approximate 30-minute return drive to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 300 metres (328 yards), with numerous steps to negotiate at the Ralli Museum and odd levels with few steps up or down connecting the different sectors at Casapueblo. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. The order of sites visited may be reversed to avoid congestion. We recommend wearing lightweight clothing, comfortable walking shoes and sunscreen.
