Excursion Lincoln national park stamford hill hike (strenuous) tour at Port Lincoln

This starts with a moderate climb to one of the highest points in the national park Stamford Hill. Take in the great panoramic views over the Lincoln NP and beautiful Boston Bay, the city of Port Lincoln in the distance as well Grantham, Bickers and Boston Islands. At the summit is a stone obelisk constructed in 1844 by Sir John Franklin as tribute to Matthew Flinders the first European to discover the region.
From here, join the Barbara Beitz Trail descending the south western slopes of Stamford Hill to Woodcutters Beach where you'll join up with the Investigator Trail which will take us along the coast back to the carpark. On return to the carpark we will have a short break for refreshments before boarding the coach.
End this tour with a stop at Winters Hill lookout for breathtaking panoramic views over Boston Bay, Boston Island and Port Lincoln township before returning to the pier.

Please note: wildlife sighting are not guaranteed. National Park class Stamford Hill Loop Hard (Level 3.5-4) : Irregular surfaces with uneven rocky base and possible washouts. Some steep accent and decent. Moderate - High level of fitness with some hiking experience recommended.
