Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-miinute drive to the slopes of Mount Hualalai to an endangered cloud forest. Upon arrival, take a guided hike under a canopy of approximately 30-foot tall (about 9.1-metre-tall) ferns, bamboo, and ohia (flowering evergreen trees), and learn about the endemic tropical flora and fauna, bird species, and forest eco-system.

Next, re-board your coach and head to the Kaloko Honokohau National Historical Park. Upon arrival, take a guided hiking trek en route to some ancient temples, and see petroglyphs carved by the native Hawaiians who once lived here. From here, walk towards the sandy shore where fisherman stored their stocks of fish in traps and ponds, and from where Hawaiian green sea turtles, the very rare Hawaiian monk seal, dolphins, and whales may be spotted.

Coffee Plantation, Guided Tour & Kona Coffee Tasting

Leaving Kaloko Honokohau National Historical Park, your final stop is at an award-winning coffee plantation. Upon arrival, discover why coffee is always top of mind in Kona during a guided walking tour of the plantation. During your guided tour, see coffee growing on the trees and learn about the various coffee-producing steps and processes, all of which happen right here on the plantation. Following of the tour, proceed for a tasting of their special brew. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.
