Excursion Kayaking the west coast lagoon tour at Cape Town

This half-day tour takes you paddling the jewel-like Langebaan Lagoon on a guided kayaking adventure, exploring sheltered waters, coastal birdlife, and scenic views, followed by post-paddle snacks and soft drinks. An active West Coast experience in a pristine marine setting.

West Coast National Park, Langebaan Lagoon

Depart the cruise pier by coach for an approximately 45-minute drive to the West Coast National Park launch area on Langebaan Lagoon. Meet your guides, gear up, and receive a safety and paddling briefing.

Guided Khayaking, Coastal Birdlife and West Coast Vistas

Launch into the lagoon’s protected waters for a guided paddling session of about 120 minutes. Follow the shoreline and around nearby islets, taking in coastal birdlife and photogenic West Coast vistas. Your guides set an easy pace, regrouping regularly to share local insights and assist as needed. Come ashore for light snacks and soft drinks, then reboard the coach for the 30-minute ride back to the cruise pier, with time to relax and review photos from your West Coast adventure.

Please note: The tour involves moderate amounts of walking of approximately 0.3 miles (0.5 km) on sand/uneven surfaces with no fixed steps; participants must be able to carry/handle their own kayak during launch and landing. Maximum individual weight 110 kg applies. This is an active, outdoor experience and is not recommended for guests with limited mobility. Wear quick-dry clothing, beach shoes, hat, sunscreen, and bring a towel and a change of clothes. Snacks and two soft drinks are included.
