Stryn Village
Depart the pier by coach on this full day excursion from Hellesylt to Geiranger. Pass Lake Hornindalsvatn that is well stocked with trout and is the deepest lake in northern Europe. Continue along the lake towards the Nordfjord to the village of Stryn, where there will be a comfort stop.
Strynefjellet Mountain
Reboard the coach and follow the river Stryn up the valley, this river is one of the best salmon rivers in Norway. Continue along the emerald-colored lake Stryn. Ascending up the narrow valley to the Stryn Mountains; this road is a masterpiece of engineering, built for horse-drawn vehicles and opened in 1895.
You drive across the mountain plateau with the well-known summer skiing center of Tystigen, thereafter heading for mount Dalsnibba.
Mount Dalsnibba
Climbing higher and higher, winding up mountain road relax in the coach and view the ever-changing kaleidoscope of mountain farms, waterfalls, lakes and rivers. From Lake Djupvatn you ascend the hairpin road to the summit of mount Dalsnibba, from where there is a spectacular view of the Geirangerfjord far below and the magnificent mountain peaks. From the summit of 4921 feet (1500 meters) above sea level, the coach will carefully make the way down the road to Djupvasshytta Mountain Lodge.
Flydal Gorge
From the Flydal gorge there is another stupendous view - the classical Geiranger motif - the fjord with your cruise ship anchored in the bay.
Geiranger
Tour ends at the pier in the village of Geiranger.
A three course lunch will be served at a local restaurant en route
