Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 1.5-hour drive to Haleakalā National Park. Upon arrival, make your approximately two-hour ascent through the park. Along the way, pass through incredibly diverse ecological zones and scenery, from subtropical forests to the deep hues of the cinder deserts. Finally, reach the summit of Maui's massive and unique landmark, the Haleakalā (East Maui) Volcano, a massive shield volcano forming more than 75% of the island of Maui. Now dormant, the summit last erupted in 1790.

Upon arrival at the approximately 9,740-foot-high (about 2969-metre-high) view point, marvel at the distinctive appearance and massive size of the crater, which measures approximately 21 miles (about 34 kilometres) in circumference and offers breath-taking panoramic vistas of your exquisite surrounds. Leaving Haleakalā National Park, re-board your coach and proceed for a set-menu lunch at the Seascape restaurant, located inside the Maui Ocean Centre. After lunch, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking and standing for approximately 547 yards (about 500 metres), at times over uneven and natural surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach, three-five steps at the lunch venue, and six steps at Haleakalā National Park. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with back and/or neck problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests who have been scuba diving in the last 72 hours, guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Weather conditions can vary greatly in Haleakalā National Park, and become much cooler at higher altitudes. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing in layers with flat, closed-toe, and non-slip walking or hiking shoes, and bring sun protection, an insulated and weatherproof jacket, bottled water, and US Dollars or credit cards for purchases from the ship. There is no age restriction on this tour but parent or guardian of guests 3 years old and under should use caution and their own discretion when bringing these guests on the tour; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old. Guests must be at least 21 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. The driving time between the pier and Haleakalā National Park is approximately 1.5-two hours in each direction.
