Excursion Eco river cruise adventure & pura vida gardens tour at Puntarenas

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Tour the stunning Pura Vida Garden and discover the beauty of Costa Rica's Pacific coast as you take a relaxing pontoon boat trip through the tropical mangrove on this memorable full-day tour. Travel approximately one hour along the Guacalillo estuary and the Tárcoles River, near Carara National Park for your Eco Jungle cruise.

The Tárcoles River estuary shelters four different species of mangroves that are filled with exotic birds such as egrets, herons, pelicans and frigate birds, some of the most common species of the delta. The river shores are also home to some of the largest crocodile colonies in the region.

Your next stop is at Pura Vida Garden, a visual masterpiece that contains spectacular flora, fauna, waterfalls and views of the Pacific. In this garden, thousands of flowers have been added as well as several varieties of orchids, not only from Costa Rica but from all over the world. The manicured walkways meander along a river or at the crest of a mountain and most are easily accessible to people of all ages and levels of fitness.

Before returning to the ship a delicious lunch is served at Pura Vida's main restaurant. Take some time on your own at the grounds or in the souvenir shop and then make the one-hour trip to the ship.
