Raiatea, Taha’a Coast

Depart the pier aboard a covered motorized boat for the 30-minute ride along the east coast of Taha’a, Raiatea beautiful sister island. Upon arrival, you will disembark the boat for a guided walk across an uninhabited islet, or motu, located just off the coast.

Drift Snorkeling

After reaching the other side of the motu, you will commence your snorkeling experience. Your guide will lead you while the current carries you through the shallow lagoon on the way back to the boat. The drift can be moderate to strenuous depending on the strength of the current. This area abounds with a spectacular variety of tropical fish and amazing coral. Dependent on weather, enjoy 2 or 3 guided drifts along the beautiful Coral Garden. Upon returning to the boat, refreshments will be served before you are transferred back to the pier.

Please note: The drift snorkeling is done in a single line with one snorkeling guide leading the 12 snorkelers spaced 10 feet apart and one snorkeling guide closing up on the group.This tour involves an extensive amount of activity and a moderate amount of walking, with a few steps to negotiate to embark/disembark the boat and manoeuvre in/out of the boat. This tour is recommended for guests that are in good physical condition, and can swim in water too deep too stand. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guest with neck and/or back problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests prone to seasickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover-up with beach or water shoes, and bring sun protection, biodegradable sunscreen, bottled water, a towel, and change of clothing from the ship. Snorkelling gear is provided. There are no changing facilities on board the boat. Waterproof cameras are highly recommended. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Guests may not snorkel if they have consumed alcohol. Although frequently encountered on this type of tour, fish and marine life sightings are not guaranteed. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. The tour sequence and sites visited may vary due to rough seas. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
