Excursion Discover the cape tour at Great Yarmouth

Experience Cape Forchu, a Light Like No Other. This spectacular and unique "apple core" style lighthouse is the second most photographed lighthouse in Nova Scotia. The guided walking tour features stories of the unique history of Cape Forchu and the Leif Erikson Trail.

Due to its excellent views and unique rock formations, the Hollywood production "The Lighthouse" was filmed at this location in 2018. The production took over the entire site.

Please note: A minimal amount of walking and standing at times over uneven, gravel surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and the buildings at Cape Forchu. A moderate amount of walking to fully-explore the sites visited; however, walking at cape Forchu is at the discretion of each guest. The “Climb the Light” experience requires the ability to go up and down a spiral staircase and a short ladder with approx. 77x steps, which requires a confident level of fitness. A signed waiver is required for this experience. Dress in layers with sturdy, closed-toe, walking shoes, and bring sun protection and a weatherproof jacket.
