Excursion Debark experience: territory wildlife park tour at Darwin
Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
Explore the natural landscapes and wildlife of northern Australia with a visit to the Territory Wildlife Park, offering a comprehensive introduction to the diverse ecosystems of the Top End.
After a scenic drive from Darwin, arrive at the park and discover a series of habitats representing the region’s coastlines, wetlands, and woodlands. As you move through the park, gain insight into the unique species that inhabit this environment, many of which are rarely seen elsewhere. Ranger presentations at selected exhibits provide an opportunity to learn more about animal behaviour, adaptation, and conservation efforts.
A highlight of the visit is the immersive Nocturnal House, where you can observe the often-hidden activities of animals active after dark, offering a rare glimpse into this lesser-seen side of the ecosystem. Continue your exploration at the impressive Aquarium, tracing the journey of water from rocky escarpments to the vast northern river systems, and walk beneath a flowing “river” where freshwater species glide overhead.
This experience offers a relaxed and informative encounter with the wildlife and environments that define the Northern Territory before continuing to Darwin International Airport for your onward journey.
