Excursion Create your own blend tour at Montevideo

Visit Bodega Spinoglio, a historic Uruguayan winery in operation since 1898, on this half-day (3.5 hours) adventure. The fourth-generation owners remain dedicated to the highest standards of quality with the same passion and respect for the land that their ancestors had, maintaining the viticultural heritage.

Discover the secrets of winemaking by the side of a Spinoglio master vintner as you create your own blend. Taste the estate's wines aged in 100-year-old casks housed in the imposing cellar's stone walls that provide ideal conditions for the aging of wines.

Embark from the pier and board your coach for the 45-minute drive to the Spinoglio wine estate. View the fertile environment of Montevideo's Cuchilla Pereyra wine region where a Spinoglio heritage block of 120-year-old vines continues to thrive in the rich clay soils and mild coastal climate.

Arrive at the winery to meet the Spinoglio wine maker who will guide you to create your own blend using the winery's Tannat & Merlot strains. Gain insider knowledge of the elements of blending the perfect wine during this hand-on experience. Once your unique blend is completed, compare it with the wines created in the Spinoglio cellar. Enjoy charcuterie provided by the on-site gourmet restaurant as you learn about how to make lovely pairings of wine with food.

When your snack is finished, return to your coach for the drive back to the pier.
