Excursion (accessible wheelchair) gibraltar tour at Gibraltar

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

This tour involves a minimal amount of walking and is specially designed for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair or a scooter.

This accessible shore excursion designed especially for guests with limited mobility is a great way to explore Gibraltar. A scenic drive to Europa Point featuring a brief photo stop. Enjoy panoramic views of Gibraltar’s iconic landmarks and the stunning strait.

We begin by departing from the quayside and heading towards Waterport Gates, then proceed north to the Cross of Sacrifice, a monument commemorating those who lost their lives in the World Wars. The journey continues under the runway towards the British-Spanish frontier.

Our next highlight is Europa Point, the southernmost tip of Gibraltar, home to the Trinity Lighthouse, the only lighthouse of its kind outside Britain. En route, we pass by Catalan Bay, a historic fishing village settled by Genoese traders fleeing the Napoleonic Wars. We then traverse the disused Water-Catchments area, retracing our steps along vibrant outskirts until reaching Europa Point. From this vantage point, you can often see across the strait to the African continent.

Guests will disembark to capture photographs of breathtaking panoramic views, see the busiest shipping lanes in the world, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean, and marvel at the confluence of two continents in one stunning location.
