Depart the pier for the short drive to the 4WD Jeep venue. Upon arrival, receive your safety and riding instructions and orientation. Afterward, do your safety helmet and set off in your 4WD Jeep for a narrated, 4WD Jeep expedition. Your guide leads the way, and provides instruction and commentary via radio whilst you explore this exquisite island. The first stop on your unforgettable, off-road adventure is at idyllic Maho Beach.

One of the most unique and best-known beaches on St. Maarten, Maho Beach is world-famous for its location at the end of the Princess Juliana International Airport runway. Its position directly under the flight path of planes enables you to experience the aircraft flying overhead on their final approach at latitudes of less than 100 feet (about 30 metres) above ground level. Following this exhilarating sight, re-board your coach and continue your off-road sightseeing excursion around Dutch and French St. Maarten.

Enjoy highlights such as the French-side capital, Marigot, green hills, and breath-taking island, coastal, and sea views. Afterward, a stop is made at Orient Bay Beach, which features approximately 1.5 miles (about 2.4 kilometres) of beautiful, white-sand beach, fringed by coconut palms and sea grape trees. Upon arrival, approximately one hour of free time is made available for sunbathing, beachcombing, swimming in the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, and/or lunch and souvenir shopping at your own expense. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your 4WD Jeep and return to the 4WD Jeep venue. Upon arrival, return your Jeep, re-board your coach, and commence the short drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of off-road driving and a minimal amount of walking for up to 109 yards (about 100 metres), at times over uneven, sandy, slippery, and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and 4WD Jeep. Walking at the beaches visited is at the discretion of each guest. The 4WD Jeeps utilised on this tour seat four passengers. The ride may be rough at times, and guests will experience bumpy, jerking motions. This tour is recommended for guests who are in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with neck/back problems, guests with heart/respiratory conditions, guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under lightweight, comfortable clothing in layers that they won’t mind getting dirty, including long pants and long-sleeve shirts with flat, sturdy and closed-toe walking or hiking shoes, and bring sun protection, a towel, change of clothing, weatherproof windbreaker, bottled water, and US Dollars, Euros, or credit cards for purchases from the ship; open-toed shoes are not permitted on this tour. The price of this tour is per person, and based on four people sharing one 4WD vehicle. Due to shared vehicles, guests are not guaranteed an opportunity to drive. Guests must be at least five years old to ride as a passenger on this tour. Guests must be at least 21 years old, and present a valid ID showing proof of age, to drive a 4WD Jeep on this tour. Photography/videography is prohibited whilst driving the 4WD Jeeps. Food and drinks are available at the beach venues at each guest’s own expense. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Guests may not drive the 4WD Jeeps if they have consumed alcohol. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. This tour operates during mornings only. A signed waiver is required to participate on this tour. The tour sequence may vary.
