Excursion 4x4 adventure & beach tour at Basseterre

Board your specially modified 4x4 Land Rover at the pier, head inland for a scenic drive through quaint villages, and then up into the cool mountain rainforests. Just 18 miles long and five miles wide, this charming island features a variety of terrain, due to the volcanic peaks that formed its topography. As you travel off-road into the island's interior, you will explore the lush rainforest where it is possible to see troops of sociable green monkeys that inhabit the area in groups of seven to 80, as well as the spectacular variety of exotic tropical flora and fauna.

At Bayfords, a private mountaintop property 1,000 feet above sea level, enjoy picture-perfect views over the island's rainforest and quilted coastline; including the capital city of Basseterre and sister island Nevis. Drive along the windswept Atlantic coastline as you head towards the beach for a refreshing dip in the Caribbean Sea. Relax and unwind on the warm sand, go for a leisurely swim off the golden-sand beach, or just beachcomb before returning to port

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of travel by open-air 4 x 4 land Rover with some moderate walking and need to negotiate few steps to negotiate to get on/off the land Rover.It is not suitable for guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear light-weight, comfortable clothing and rubber-soled walking shoes and to bring protection from the sun and a camera from the ship. This tour operates in an open-air safari-style vehicle which has no air conditioning; guests are advised to dress accordingly. Guests must not exceed 275lb (124Kg) in weight.
