Excursion The musa museum & botanical garden tour at Manaus

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Leave the Ship by bus to visit the Musa-Museum of the Amazon founded in 2009, a living open-air museum in a segment of the Adolpho Ducke Forest Reserve, a forest in the city of Manaus. On this 3-hour walking tour you will visit the Botanical Garden created in 2002 whose tracks cut into the dense tissue of trees, palms and garden vines illuminated by lights and shadows that reveal the dazzling diversity of insects, birds and pollinators that live here.

The ecosystems, fauna and flora of the Ducke Reserve have been studied for more than 60 years by researchers from the National Institute of Amazonian Research (INPA), who have recorded all their findings in catalogs, articles and manuals available for you to read.

End your walk by climbing the 242 step tower in the Musa Botanical Gardens to observe the forest from above before heading back down through the forest to end your tour and to return to Manaus.
