After an early breakfast, depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 2.5-hour drive to Lancelin, site of the biggest white-sand dunes in Western Australia. Upon arrival, experience the thrill of four-wheel driving over Lancelin's vast sand dunes.

Cervantes, Lobster Factory Visit & Lunch at Lobster Shack Restaurant

Next, re-board your coach and head to Cervantes, a laid-back lobster fishing town north of Perth, also known as the 'gateway town' to the Pinnacles Desert. Upon arrival, stop by the Lobster Shack restaurant for an informative talk about the lobster industry, followed by a self-guided factory tour and lobster lunch.

Nambung National Park & Pinnacles Desert

After lunch, your tour continues with a drive to the approximately 1,000-acre (about 404-hectare) Nambung National Park, site of the mysterious Pinnacles Desert. This yellow quartz sand desert features a forest of interesting pillars, varying from mere inches to 20 feet tall. Take a narrated drive through this yellow quartz-sand desert, which features a forest of mysterious pillars created by millions of years of complex interaction between lime, sand, wind and rain. Following your drive, some free time is made available for a stroll through this eerie desert, and a possible glimpse of emus, kangaroos and other park denizens.

At the conclusion of your visit, commence the approximately 2.5-hour drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves off-road driving over bumpy and uneven natural surfaces and inclines, and a moderate amount of walking for approximately 765 yards (about 700 metres) over paved, unpaved, natural ground, sandy, and grassy areas, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the 4WD vehicle. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with neck/back problems, guests with heart/respiratory conditions, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Walking at the Lobster Shack restaurant and Pinnacles Desert is at the discretion of each guest. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. The duration of the drive between the pier and Nambung National Park is approximately 2.5 hours in each direction. Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
