It boasts a lively community, breathtaking natural landscapes, and a deep cultural history. Take a stroll through the town to experience its ancient heritage and the vibrant hues of its architecture and streets. Be sure to visit the Sisimiut Museum, which features exhibits in Greenland's oldest surviving church and a traditional peat house. Note

Please note: A moderate amount of walking to fully-explore the community, however walking in Sisimiut is at the discretion of each guest. Local infrastructure is basic, roads in Sisimiut are mostly paved but there can be stretches of dirt road, with some inclines and steps.  Guides, equipment, and services are the best-available but may not be up to the standards of those found on other excursions therefore, we urge flexibility and understanding as we visit unique and remote destinations. Dress in layers with sturdy, closed toe walking shoes/boots, and bring sun protection, insect repellent, weatherproof jacket, hat, and scarf.
