Secret Seven Waterfall Canyoning

Dominica offers an incredible adventure that allows you to experience the ravishing natural beauty of the island from the inside out. Imagine hiking down through the rainforest to a secret waterfall that drops off into a hidden canyon far beneath the sunlit forest canopy. That is the beginning of the Secret Seven Waterfall Canyoning Experience. All are welcome, pro or novice, as no prior training or rappel / abseil experience is required.

Hidden Pools

Jump in hidden pools with crystal clear water beneath the rainforest and descend into deep gorges in rock carved from thousands of years of rainfall. Whether hiking through lush jungle or rappelling halfway down a rock to drop in the water below, your day is sure to be filled with the sound of cheers for every natural obstacle tackled. A breathtaking view unveiled with every step taken, you will discover new treasures to admire as the surrounding scenery changes throughout your adventure and offers an array of native plants and wildlife to learn about.

Magical Canyon

This epic excursion will call for swimwear, a towel and closed footwear of your own, and your guides will take care of the rest. After getting geared up at Extreme Dominica's headquarters you will learn how to rappel on a 8-foot training wall and receive a briefing before you go on a 15 minute drive to the canyon where the real adventure begins. After traversing the magical canyon the tour concludes with a 15 minute hike back to the vehicle. The tour ends at the canyoning school with hot cocoa tea and fresh local fruit.

Note

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of activity, including repelling, walking or climbing through slippery and uneven surfaces, and jumping into or swimming in deep water, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. This tour is recommended for guests in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for guests who suffer from a fear of heights, guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover-up with beach or water shoes, and bring sun protection and a towel from the ship. Minimum age to participate is 6 years and minimum weight 45lbs (20 Kg). Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment. This experience may not be exclusive to Silversea guests.
