Bohol Bee Farm

Get acquainted with herbs, edible flowers, and vegetables and their health benefits and other uses as you tour the farm. Bohol Bee Farm, encouraging and inspiring farmers to practice organic farming without spending costly conventional fertilizers, nor use of harmful pesticides on their farms, they also teach their staff the different livelihood activities. Furthermore, the farm supports an agricultural development that leads to healthier soils and diverse agriculture ecosystems, conditions that promote a better environment. See how the staff turn home-grown herbs into a delectable sandwich spread in a jar, or alternately into an insect repellent spray and beeswax into a lip balm.

Raffia Weaving

Another discovery at the Bohol Bee Farm are the handwoven buri/raffia fabrics made from fiber of the buri palm trees. A huge palm tree which is the source of three natural fibers - buri, raffia and buntal. The fibers are dyed and sometimes woven on a loom with stunning color combinations. The fibre is biodegradable making it an excellent use for baskets, hats, mats and rugs.

Buffet Lunch

After the tour, proceed to Buzz Restaurant for a buffet lunch with a food orientation which explains the combination of home-made and organic ingredients before heading back to the port.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking with a few steps to negotiate at the farm and to get on/off the coach. It is not uitable for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight comfortable clothing, and flat, closed-toe walking shoes are recommended.
