Excursion Mangrove canoeing tour tour at Amami Oshima

Take a tour and canoe trip at the incredible Amami Oshima Island, a treasure chest of valuable pants and animals that has been compared to the Galapagos Islands for its unique and lush biodiversity. On the island, flowers bloom in profusion throughout the year in the deep and dark old-growth forest, and other one-of-a-kind plants and animals call this special place home. Flora and fauna on Amami Oshima Island include a primeval mangrove forest, which is Japan's second largest in terms of area, and the Amami Rabbit, a national protected species. The island is under consideration to be registered as a world heritage site.

This tour is recommended for those who love athletic activity. Please note that the guests are required to wear life jacket and do some practice before canoeing.

Please note: This tour requires sufficient strength to paddle a canoe over a moderate distance, and therefore is not suitable for those with limited mobility. Duration of Canoeing is approx 60 minutes. Guests will need to bring a towel, sun screen, hat and shoes suitable for canoeing, though sandals will be available, as well as life jackets.
