Excursion Horseback riding in patagonia tour at Puerto Madryn

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Journey into the open landscapes of Patagonia for a horseback riding experience that reveals the region’s vastness, silence, and natural beauty at a gentle pace. Traveling north from the coast, pass through the Istmo Carlos Ameghino area, where land and sea meet and the geography of the Península Valdés begins to unfold.

Continue into a protected dune landscape, preserved to prevent erosion and maintain the integrity of this fragile environment. Here, meet experienced local guides and receive an introduction to riding and safety before setting out on horseback along designated trails.

The ride follows natural contours toward Cerro Olazabal, moving through wide-open terrain shaped by wind and time. Along the way, enjoy uninterrupted views of rolling dunes and coastal wilderness before reaching the Whales Viewpoint, a scenic overlook offering expansive vistas across Golfo Nuevo and Puerto Pirámides Bay, framed by ancient cliffs.

After time to pause, walk briefly, and take in the scenery, return on horseback to the starting point, where a light snack awaits. This experience offers a calm and immersive way to connect with Patagonia’s landscapes, combining tradition, nature, and quiet exploration.
