Your tour begins with a visit to the exquisite St. Peter's Basilica, by far the largest church in the world. Of outstanding interest are Michelangelo's Pietà, the bronze Statue of St. Peter and Bernini's Canopy over the High Altar. Leaving the Basilica, walk to St. Peter's Square, with commentary by your guide. Upon arrival, some free time is made available to shop for souvenirs of your visit.

Please note: This Exclusive tour involves an extensive amount of walking for approximately 1.24 miles (about two kilometres), at times over uneven and cobblestone surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and 50 steps at the sites visited. This tour is not suitable for guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, a camera and local currency for purchases from the ship. Proper attire is required to enter the churches; shorts, bare shoulders and revealing clothing are not permitted, and gentlemen must wear long pants. Guests must be at least 12 years old to participate on this tour. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Guests may be required to check large bags, backpacks, video cameras and/or personal water bottles at designated check points. Access to the venues indicated above may vary depending on traffic, local conditions, the season, mass taking place, and variations or cancellations due to unexpected activities or events of the Holy See or Vatican City State. Flash photography is not permitted inside the Vatican Museum. Photography/Videography are not permitted at any time in the Sistine Chapel. During the inside visit of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica, the use of headsets owned and provided by the respective site's managements is compulsory. It is very important for guests to be aware that they are responsible for the headset devices provided. For both Vatican Museums & St. Peter's Basilica, the headsets company will charge Euro $50 for every missing device. Should a mass service or special event be taking place at St. Peter's Basilica, the guides provide an outside explanation only, and guests then enter on their own. Should your guide determine that the queue at the St. Peter's Basilica's security checkpoint is longer than a 45-minute wait, they will forego the interior visit of St. Peter's Basilica and provide you with a full explanation and description whilst outside. You are then provided with more time during your shopping or free time to compensate for not entering the St. Peter's Basilica. Depending upon the number of people in the Basilica, it may be closed for security reasons; these safety precautions are beyond the control of the local tour operator. Due to the latest world events, please note that more accurate security controls should be expected at the various sites visited. Should the designed coach drop-off/pick-up point for St. Peters Basilica be congested or unavailable, an alternative drop-off/pick-up point location will be substituted. Please note that an additional amount of walking approximately 0.6 miles (about one kilometre) to/from the alternative location should be considered. The tour sequence may vary depending on traffic or local conditions.
