Excursion Dalmatian coast highlights tour at Dubrovnik

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Your tour begins with a coach journey along the Adriatic coastline and your first stop will be made at the charming village of Orasac. Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to see how olive oil was produced in the past, when the mills were horse-driven. You will also be offered a taste of some home made local snacks.

Continue on to the small town of Ston, renown for the Walls of Ston, a series of defensive stone walls, originally more than 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) long, that surrounded and protected the city of Ston, part of the Republic of Ragusa. This small town is proud of its rich history and you’ll have the chance to stroll the streets and learn more of its fascinating history.

Afterwards head to Mali Ston, the Oyster Capital of Croatia for an oyster experience unlike any other. Climb into a boat and motor out to the oyster and mussel beds for a first-hand look at this traditional way of life. Of course, a sampling is an absolute must and it simply doesn’t get any fresher or more delicious.

Upon return to Mali Ston re-join your coach for a return drive to Dubrovnik.
