Aposelimi Dam, Ancient Ruins of Lyttos, Kastamonitsa Village, Raki & Olive Oil Tasting

Your day starts from the moment you meet your drivers and head out to your first stop at the Aposelimi dam. Continuing our journey through paths and olive trees, we reach the ruins of the Roman aqueduct of Lyttos. Next, continue to the quaint village of Kastamonitsa where we join the locals for raki and olive oil tasting.

Off-Road Adventure, Minoan Path, Lassithi Plateau

From here the real off-road adventure begins by climbing high into the mountains and following the ancient Minoan path that leads us to a local shepard where you have the chance to feed the goats and try some of the home-made cheese. From here we make our way to a magnificent view point where we can see the Minoan path and the first siting of the Lassithi Plateau.

Zeus' Cave, Spectacular Views, Lunch

Head to Zeus' Cave (where mythology says that Zeus, the father of all the gods was born). When you reach the top of the cave this gives you the opportunity to take photographs as if with a helicopters view of the Lassithi Plateau. From here we cross the Plateau and stop for your delicious lunch.

Krassi Village, Old Plane Tree, Natural Spring, Vultures

Your drive continues on to the village of Krassi, which is famous for a 2,000-year-old plane tree and derives its water from a natural spring. Leaving Krassi Village, head back through the Selinari area. Here, you can see vultures, which are now an endangered species. At the conclusion of your unforgettable tour, commence the approximately 1.75-hour back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of off-road driving and a minimal amount of walking, at times over uneven, bumpy, gravel, sandy, and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steep steps to negotiate to get on/off the Jeep. The ride may be rough at times, and guests will experience bumpy, jerking motions. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with neck and/or back problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, bottled water, and local currency for purchases from the ship. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 to participate on this tour. Guests must follow the safety instructions of their guides at all times, and, for safety reasons, remain seated with their seatbelts fastened once the vehicle is in motion. Guests taller than 6'2" (about 1.9 metres) in height cannot participate on this tour. The time spent driving on this tour is approximately 5.5-six hours. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. A signed waiver is required to participate on this tour. The tour sequence may vary.
