Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 70-75-minute drive to the magnificent Alerce Andino National Park. Half of the park’s nearly 97,850 acres (about 39,598 hectares) are completely covered by dense forests featuring alerces (Chilean redwood trees) and other varieties of typical evergreen forests, such as the coigue and manio.

Guided Hiking Trek, Giant Trees, Mountain Massif

Upon arrival at the park, begin your scenic and exhilarating, approximately 1.5-hour guided hiking trek. In addition to its many giant green trees, the park includes an enormous mountain massif.

Free Time, Breath-Taking Panoramic Views, Photo Opportunities, PIcnic, Return Trek

At the halfway point, some free time is made available to relax and enjoy breath-taking panoramic vistas and photo opportunities. Afterward, begin your approximately 1.5-hour hiking trek back to the starting point. Upon arrival, enjoy a light, boxed snack. Afterward, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 75-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of hiking for approximately 5 miles (about 8 kilometres), at times over uneven, natural, muddy, and slippery surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and 150 steps at Alerce Andino National Park. This tour is recommended for guests who are in good physical condition, and can hike over uneven, natural terrain for long distances. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with neck and/or back problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear warm, comfortable clothing in layers with long pants and flat, closed-toe, and non-slip hiking boots, and bring sun protection, insect repellent, raingear, a weatherproof jacket, warm hat, gloves and bottled water. A signed waiver is required to participate on this tour. The tour sequence and timings may vary. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
