Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 1.5-hour drive north to Jaffa. Upon arrival, your guided walking tour begins at Old Jaffa. This ancient port has been utilised since at least the Bronze Age, and was once the only entry port to the land of Israel. Jaffa is a microcosm encircled by the modern city of Tel Aviv, but its character remains intact, and it is perfectly preserved due to a massive and detailed restoration project that took place in the 1960s.

Old Stone Buildings & Arches, Cobblestone Alleys, Art Galleries, Andromeda's Rock, New Jaffa

Stroll amongst old stone buildings and arches, and narrow, winding cobblestone alleys filled with art galleries, where a stop is made to browse some of their works. View the iconic Andromeda's Rock in the distance. This is where the prophet, Jonah, boarded the ship for Tarshish, St. Peter stayed in the house of Simon the Tanner, and Andromeda, the daughter of Jaffa's king, was tied to a rock, awaiting the sea monster. In addition, visit New Jaffa, home to hip, trendy shopping and a stylish nightlife scene.

Abu Lafia Bakery, Pastry

Following your walking tour, a stop is made for a light pastry at the famous Abu Lafia Bakery. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 1.5-hour drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.93 miles (about 1.5 kilometres), at times over uneven and cobblestone surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and at the sites visited. This tour is not suitable for guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests must be at least 6 years old to participate on this tour; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old.The driving time between Ashdod and Jaffa is approximately one-1.5 hours in each direction.
