Venture into the pristine countryside as you visit a traditional Norwegian family farm for an up-close and personal experience.

Øvre-Eide Farm

Øvre-Eide Farm is located in the idyllic surroundings of Lake Jordal, surrounded by green pasture fields. Upon arrival your host will greet you and introduce you to some of the animals typically found on Norwegian farms, such as fjord & døla horses and spel sheep. Along the way you will learn about the farm's history which dates back to the 16th century, the local heritage and hear stories about life on the farm.

Traditional Refreshments & Bunad Presentation

Then you will be invited into the main house for some local and traditional treats including homemade almond pralines, pastries with fresh berries and cream, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. While you enjoy these savory delights, your host will entertain you & present to you the national costumes from Nordhordland.

Please note: It is recommended to dress in layered clothing and wear comfortable walking shoes. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Walking involves approximately 750 metres on uneven terrain and some gradual slopes.
