Village of Arucas & San Juan Bautista Church
The day starts with 30-minute drive to the beautiful village of Arucas, which is surrounded by banana trees a and has charming old town center full of cafes and small shops. An hour's walking tour around the village includes a short stop at the impressive Gothic Revival church of San Juan Bautista.
Arehucas Rum Distillery, Rum Tasting
Return to the coach for the drive to a traditional rum distillery where you will take a guided visit of the workshops and cellars and learn about the history and traditions of rum distilling. Conclude the visit with a tasting session sampling different rums, liquors and creams.
Village of Teror & Basilica of Virgen del Pino
Continue the coach journey to the mountain village of Teror, which is famous as the spiritual focus for the entire population of Gran Canaria. The 90-minute guided walking tour of the old town is a chance to admire the characteristic colonial architecture and the Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pino with its statue of La Virgen del Pino, the patron saint of the whole Diocese of the Canary Islands. Learn the reasons behind the locals' devotion and why so many make the pilgrimage during the festivities held in her honor. After the tour spend some free time in Teror before re-boarding the coach for the drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves moderate physical activity. Participants walk a total of 1.5 km (1640 yards), some over cobbled streets, and have to stand at some locations. The venues are theoretically suitable for guests with limited mobility and wheelchair users; however participants must be able to transfer from their chairs and negotiate steps to get on/off the coach. Guests are advised to wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes, and bring sunscreen. Shoulders must be covered when entering churches. Children under 18 may not participate on this tour.
